I can't say enough, Dermot does amazing work and is so easy to work with. He can do just about anything you ask for.

Dermot and his crew have worked on our basement, kitchen, front and back deck, and all our bathrooms over the past 10 years. He also has a strong working relationship with all the Cambridge inspectors, which is very helpful when you want to get a project moving along! We recommend him highly.

We have used this company on at least 4 occasions. They have re-sided a victorian home including rebuilding and expanding a wrap around porch, removeing aluminium siding and re shingling. This was a big job totalling over $150,000 about 10 years ago. More recently they installed 2 baths and a new kitchen. Last year they re built an entry way. This called for taking down several walls and coordinating with flooring electric and painter trades. Dermot has a very good sense of how to blend new with old. He brings the jobs in on time and when budgets move it has been due to change of scope. I have recomended him to others. The numbers below are based on the most recent job last year.

Dermot was hired to renovate my kitchen. The project entailed adding a new room onto the kitchen, restructuring the deck, new electrical, plumbing and heating, and installing new cabinets. Dermot provides excellent workmanship in all aspects of his projects. He is great at keeping his clients informed and up-to-date on the status of the project. There is no problem too great for Dermot. He will find a solution to any obstacle encountered. Dermot is also open to new ideas and suggestions and will give his honest and professional opinion.

OVERALL: I would definitely use him again. Dermot was great to work with. PROS: He always explained everything in detail when I asked questions. I never felt rushed. He always seemed to have time for me and was reachable. Any things that “appeared” once the work began, he explained honestly with me as it went along. Dermot didn’t send the final bill until all the little bits of the project were resolved to my satisfaction. CON: Some of the finish work of the subs was not meticulous, but likely was in line with his pricing.

Dermot and DM Power have done $150K+ worth of work at our condo over the last 5 or so years. He has been a pleasure to work with. The jobsite is always left neat at the end of the day, his crew is professional, and Dermot has successfully tackled challenging repairs to an old building. He has completed a major deck rebuild, resided most of the house, and done extensive roof repairs. His bills have been reasonable, and transparent. In short, DM Power is a professional contracting operation that you'll be happy to work with. As usual, the more clear you are at the outset of your job with goals and expectations, the better experience you'll have with DM Power, or any contractor.
